Privacy policy
Written for this site specifically, not copied from a template. Last updated 21 August 2026.
The short version
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from an advertising network. Nothing tracks you here.
The only personal information I hold is what you deliberately send me: a contact form, an intake form, an email, or a phone call.
What I collect, and when
The contact form on the home page asks for your name, your email, an optional business name, an optional phone number, and your message. Nothing is collected unless you press send.
The client intake form at /start asks about your business: contact details, your service area, your current website, and how your domain and hosting are set up. That form runs entirely in your browser. It assembles your answers into text that you copy, download, or send from your own email program. The answers are not transmitted to a server when you type them.
If you email or phone me directly, I hold whatever you chose to put in that message.
I do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, government identification, or health information. Please do not send them.
Why I collect it
To answer your enquiry, quote your work, and do the job if you hire me. That is the only purpose. I do not build advertising profiles and I do not sell or rent anything to anyone.
Who else can see it
Web3Forms processes contact form submissions and passes them to my inbox. They act as a processor for that message.
Google, because my email runs on Gmail, so anything you email me sits in Google infrastructure.
Cloudflare, which serves this site. Like any web host, its edge servers log ordinary request data such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability. I do not have an analytics dashboard built on it and I do not use it to identify visitors.
That is the whole list. No advertising networks, no data brokers, no mailing list provider, because this site has no mailing list.
How long I keep it
If you enquire and we do not end up working together, I delete the enquiry within twelve months.
If you become a client, I keep the project records and the invoices for six years, because Canadian tax rules require business records to be kept that long.
You can ask me to delete anything sooner, and I will, unless I am required to keep it for the tax reason above.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you can ask what I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, and withdraw your consent. Email me and I will answer within thirty days at the outside, and usually the same week.
If you are not satisfied with how I handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security, stated honestly
The site is served over HTTPS and is a set of static files with no database and no login, so there is no account of yours here to break into.
Your information sits in my email account, which is protected by a strong password and two step verification. No system is perfect, and I would rather say that than promise something nobody can promise.
Changes
If this site starts collecting something new, this page is updated in the same change. The date at the top is the last time that happened.
